At Citrusvil, we received the visit of the participants of the Voces Emergentes Program from Fundación Federalismo y Libertad, who were interested in learning about the innovative aspects in lemon industrialization.

During their visit, 45 service-minded young people from the public and private sectors, as well as from civil institutions, were interested in learning about Grupo Lucci’s way to produce and commercialise. Together with experts, they learnt about the sustainable lemon production and the production development in the province.

At the meeting with Martín Carignani, Citrusvil CEO, and Noelia Lescano, Head of Quality Assurance and Environment, issues related to the world lemon production and Argentina’s international insertion by commercialising industrialised products were addressed. In addition, sustainable and circular economy practices promoted at the Company were discussed since they generate employment in the region and foster the development of production skills. This approach represents a key opportunity for youth development.

The participants also visited one of the industrial plants in order to learn about the manufacturing of the different products meant for the world market, as well as the Renewable Energy Plant, which generates 3 MW, equivalent to the electric consumption of 2,500 households.

Education is key in order to build a thriving society

At the end of the visit, Pablo Lucci, one of Grupo Lucci’s directors, shared a motivating message where he emphasised that: “Education is key in order to build a thriving society. We should invest in the development of our young people since they are the major human resource necessary to drive innovation and progress.”

We are responsible for preparing them to face future challenges and providing them with the necessary tools to produce in a more efficient manner. Only in that way will we be able to reach our full potential as a society. Today, my daily concern consists in learning how to produce in a better way, but, in order to do so, I need the necessary human resources that promote sustainability and are proud of their roots.

Eng. Pablo Lucci

Manuel Guisone, Training Director at Federalismo y Libertad, said that he was satisfied with what they learnt during this valuable experience for Voces Emergentes’ 2024 group.
